What To Bring

Miracle Mountain Ranch will be providing beds, mattresses, dressers and desks for each apprentice, as well as "living room" furniture such as couches, chairs, tables, etc.. Students are expected to bring their own linens, toiletries, and personal items. Listed below are some suggested ideas from 'old' apprentices to help you pack.

Prepare for weather of all kinds! Hot, cold, really cold, and rainy conditions are our specialty.

Work clothes – sweatshirts, jeans, coveralls (insulated if possible), work boots, long underwear and clothes that layer well, ‘grubby’ clothes for painting and barn work, hats, scarves, gloves, warm winter boots, thermal anything, insulated work coat, tall muck boots and rain gear.

Riding Apparel – If you have a helmet, boots, chaps, etc you will want to bring them. If you have riding equipment (saddles, bridles, etc) you will want to check with us before bringing it. Boots with large cleats or tread will not be permitted for winter riding because of safety concerns.

Medicines – Bring any prescribed medications that you use plus pain relievers, cold medicines, cough syrup/drops, Benedryl, bandaids, Ace bandages, Pepto-Bismol, etc.

Appropriate dress for chapel, Bible studies, and Sundays will consist of modest skirts (below the knee) or dress pants for young ladies, and slacks or dress pants for young men.

Bring a Bible concordance if you own one, as well as pens, notebooks, stationary, etc.. If you have a personal computer that you are using, you may bring it but keep in mind that space is limited, and no internet connections are permitted in the dorms.

Perhaps, most important of all, bring a learner’s attitude, a servant’s heart and a willing spirit. The Lord can do much in your heart and life if you are ready.

Finances

Because CAMP is designed to prepare people for the ministry, it is the policy of CAMP not to accept an applicant who is financially indebted.

CAMP is a small program with a high priority. All tuition is utilized to insure a quality program. The tuition / housing charges cover room and board, which is contracted with Miracle Mountain Ranch, equipment, administrative and development costs, as well as all academic courses. Apprentices are responsible for laundry, texts, riding apparel, and transportation to and from town. (Car-pooling is often practiced among apprentices.)

Please contact the office for current CAMP tuition rates. (814) 664-7673

Housing

Housing deposits are refunded after the end of the school year once housing units have been inspected for cleanliness and damages.

Insurance

Camp Apprenticeship has a secondary insurance plan that covers expenses above any beyond what the student's own insurance will not cover. Therefore, all accident claims must go to the student's insurance company first, then CAMP's insurance will cover any unpaid expenses. If the student does not have insurance, CAMP's insurance will cover expenses due to an accident up to the limits of the policy.

Expenses incurred due to sickness or chiropractic visits are the responsibility of the student unless a direct result of an injury suffered while participation in the CAMP program.
